“We are no more than the stories we’re told, told about us, and the ones that we tell.”
About the author
Georgia McKinlay
An ex-teacher and true logophile, Georgia McKinlay has always been interested in helping the next generation discover the joy of words. Georgia has lived in four countries and speaks three languages fluently. Her own love of language grew from listening to the stories her grandma and mum would tell her as a child.
She now lives in Oxfordshire with two crazy, wonderful kids and one terrifically tolerant husband. Georgia prefers to be barefoot, laughing and surrounded by books.

Working together
“Working with Georgia has been a whirlwind of excitement, joy, and true brilliance. I’ve loved bringing Hamish, Cat and the yodelling whale to life. I am forever grateful for the opportunity and adventure it has been.”
“Sharing this debut publishing experience with Amy has been an incredible privilege. To go on this journey together - with more than two decades of wonderful friendship already in our rear view mirror - has made it even more special than I could ever have imagined. Watching Amy’s amazing talent help Hamish take shape has been an absolute joy. Can we do another one already?”
